Professional Car Repairs In Adelaide As Easy At Wot Fib

Professional car repair can be expensive and stressful in Adelaide, however, there are various ways for you to keep your car purring on the local roads.

Buying and maintaining a car can sound and seem costly and much more stressful than it should be. The truth is paying for car repairs will have to happen at some stage. However, there are some ways for you to maintain your car so that they might not be as frequent. These steps can be placed in the acronym ‘WOT FIB’:

W: WINDOWS

Broken lights and mirrors should be replaced as soon as possible. These are important as they can affect your vision if broken of needing repair. Small cracks in windshields can quickly turn into larger problems if you don’t attend to them as soon as possible. Ways to prevent the need to repair these cracks can be by driving with plenty of room between your car and the car in front of yours. This can help prevent any pebbles or other debris from being thrown onto your windshield.

 O: OIL

Oil is essential to the running of your car; oil is as important, or even more important than the petrol your car needs to run on. This is why you need to keep an eye on it so you don’t end up needing a serious car repair.  Your car oil should be regularly changed - ideally every 6,000km - 7,000km. However you should still check your oil once a week.

T: TIRES

Tires need to e properly inflated to ensure that your car drives safely and smoothly. In order to ensure your tires do not get unnecessarily damaged, you should inflate your tires to their specified pressure.  Tread wear indicators will begin to show when your car tires need changing. Ensure that you are checking your tires for wear regularly, so that they are up to legal and safety standards.

F: FLUIDS

Fluids are essential to maintaining your car and ensuring it does not need major car repair. These various fluids include coolant, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, windshield washer fluid, brake fluid, and other fluids need to be checked at a minimum of once per week. Without all these vital fluids flowing through your car properly, it is a recipe for disaster.

I: INTERIOR

The interior of your car may just seem like the aesthetics of your car, however it is an important part of maintaining your car for years to come. It also plays a major role in the safety of your family and friends. Having a clean and un-scuffed interior will also maintain the price of your car.

B: BRAKES, BELTS BATTERY

Another major safety aspect to your care, are the brakes. Most modern cars have brakes, which are designed to be changed periodically to ensure they are working with maximum safety and efficiency. The belt in your car is also essential and needs to be checked regularly as it can have a severe amount of wear and tear, causing their tension to decrease. The battery is also another vital part of the cars ability to run, without a functioning battery, your car simply won’t work! This is why it is essential not to leave lights or radio on after driving the car.

Although these are all ways to ensure you do not need to constantly take your car in for repair, regular check ups and fixes to your car will undoubtedly be needed. For reliable car repairs in Adelaide visit the Dilenna Brothers website at http://www.dilenabrothers.com.au/.
